Mom and I had a blast at the cancer center on my first visit there. We took selfies near the big cancer sign and we even got to hang together in the very exclusive chemo lounge.
What’s Mom’s prognosis?
Without treatment this would almost certainly become leukemia, they’d expect life to end by the end of this summer.
Good news: A bone marrow transplant can be fully curative, though it’s a long and difficult road to pass.

Mom started chemo a few days after this visit. It’s a fairly tolerable chemo treatment and it should extend her life and eventually make her feel a bit better while the bone marrow transplant is in the works.
